I express my gratitude for the opportunity to contribute as a Stop Motion Assistance Animator and Set Designer at Eeksaurus Animation Studio for an impactful film project. The entire animation production was meticulously crafted using clay, with each set and character exclusively fashioned from this material. The magnitude of clay utilized for this endeavor was substantial, and a significant portion of the project's colors were handcrafted by both myself and the team.
The dedication invested in this project was unparalleled, with team members tirelessly working day and night. Some shots demanded an astonishing 16 hours to produce merely one second of animation. Despite occasional setbacks due to timing issues and animation choppiness, the team persevered, undertaking reshoots when necessary. The journey was marked by numerous challenges, but each obstacle served as a valuable learning experience.
Throughout this endeavor, I acquired an extensive array of skills, encompassing lighting and camera setup, character development, set design, as well as an in-depth understanding of the distinct properties and reactions of clay. The art of animation, in particular, became a focal point of my learning curve. The invaluable guidance provided by senior colleagues and fellow team members significantly contributed to my professional growth. As a testament to the knowledge gained during this internship, I am motivated to embark on the creation of a new stop-motion animation film, incorporating the techniques and insights acquired at Eeksaurus Studios.
