Jungle Book inspired me as a kid to get into arts. Through this project i wanted to pay the homage to this wonderful franchise. My version depicts the original characters in different, more futuristic and post apocalyptic scenario!
In this case, the concept was that the jungle was on fire and that there were only 3 characters left. The characters are futuristic because that is how I have interpreted the story. In the current world the humans are dependent on machines and so here the animals are. Artificial intelligence and machines are destroying themselves. This message—that artificial intelligence is extremely dangerous—was shown.
Baby Mowgli is brought up and raised by a family of wolves after being abandoned following an accident. As the boy becomes older, the sage panther Bagheera recognizes that he needs to be taken back to the surrounding man-village where he belongs. Contrary to common belief, Baloo the bear teaches little Mowgli that residing in the forest is the finest possible way to live. Bagheera is aware of Mowgli's peril, especially from Sher Khan the tiger, who despises all humans. When Baloo eventually turns around, Mowgli flees into the jungle, where he manages to avoid Sher Khan and Kaa the snake twice. But what actually convinces Mowgli to visit and remain in the adjoining man-village is the sight of a gorgeous female.
